AFTER SEARCHING, AND I MEAN SEARCHING, and looking at almost every site, download, plug in, fix available, and searching your site, and Mac's site. NO WHERE DOES IT SAY STRAIGHT OUT THAT.
'Oh by the way video chat doesn't work with Mac OS X 10.9 VERSION'. EXCEPT in ONE place that you have to happen to scroll to/open a link to.
I HAVE NO IDEA HOW I FINALLY FOUND IT! Consequently, I've spent days downloading a bunch of crap that I don't need on my computer to try to make it work! CAN YOU MAKE IT WORK? I DO USE IT FREQUENTLY! THANK YOU:) Dana Conway [email protected].

The only information I got was to uninstall and reinstall the video plugin, as per this Facebook official help page: I had searched for FacebookVideoCalling on my Mac. It didn't exist anywhere. Then I downloaded the FacebookVideoCallingv1.6.jar file as suggested on that page. Double-clicking it will say 'can't be opened because it is from an unidentified developer', but that's ok, Facebook never signed that JAR file, you just need to right-click on it and select Open. It installs smoothly, or so it seems, with no errors. Nothing gets placed on /Library/Internet Plugins, however. Which is a bad sign.
So I closed all browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox) and re-opened them. Wherever that FacebookVideoCallingv.16.jar file went, I have no idea, but no browser seems to be able to find it — nor can I, searching for the whole disk, either with Spotlight or from the console with locate. Very likely, after the JAR file is opened, it creates something else, with a different name, who knows where. According to Apple, JAR files out to be placed on /Library/Java/Extensions (see ), but the only thing there is libpteidlibj.1.26.0.dylib Or, more likely, it doesn't do anything but draw a progress bar and say 'downloading' and 'finisheing up'. But actually doesn't install anything. Also note that I have the latest and greatest Java software installed, downloaded just two days ago. So that's also not the issue.

There are no errors on the logs. I could imagine that the FacebookVideoCallingv1.6.jar somehow had some permission errors (i.e.
Needing to install files as superuser somewhere). But it never asks for superuser permissions, and it doesn't show any errors. Does nothing whatsoever:(.
